Regulator's Judgement Outcome
Regulator for Social Housing (RSH) publishes regulatory judgement for Christian Action
We have been expecting the outcome of the ongoing review of our rating by the Regulator for Social Housing. We have received the results and the outcome has now been published and Christian Action has been assessed to be a G3 rating.
Jackie Kelly, Chair of Christian Action, said:
Whilst we are disappointed that we have not been able to meet all regulatory expectations, we understand the RSH’s decision regarding our Governance grading.
Our financial viability grading remains compliant, and as a non-Executive team, we are already taking steps and planning to make the improvements required to improve our Governance grading.
We want to reassure our tenants/residents that there will be no impact on them or our services due to this decision. We also do not envisage any material effect on our relationship with key stakeholders and partners.
We will continue to work collaboratively as an organisation to deliver and improve our services to our tenants/residents and offer meetings if desired.
Since being placed on the RSH’s grading under review list, we have been working closely with the RSH and engaging with a specialist for support/advice to help us address their review.
Aniekan Umoren, CEO of Christian Action, added:
“Since arriving, I have been impressed by the determination of the Board and Executive team to learn lessons and deliver the strategic action plan we have in place to make Christian Action the good local organisation we are and aspire to remain.”
